Safety Compliance Service can provide the following services to motor carriers: On-Site Safety AssessmentOn-Site Safety Consultant Service Driver Qualification Processing Driver Log Audits Maintenance and Inspections Audit Service Substance Abuse Testing Program Employee and Supervisor Training Service
On-Site Safety Assessment - A one-day On-Site Safety Assessment will be conducted to identify problem areas within a carrier’s safety program. A full report will be provided to management detailing the deficiencies identified and the priority in which they should be addressed to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The specific compliance issues include:
On-Site Safety Consultant - A regular schedule can be established for a SafeTrans professional to assist the motor carrier with development and implementation of a driver safety program. This service includes one-on-one safety awareness training and education of management, supervisors, drivers, and other employees. The consulting schedule is determined based on the carrier’s size and duties assigned.
Driver Qualification - This service will ensure that all drivers meet the regulations provided for in FMCSR Part 391 covering the minimum qualifications for drivers:
A report will be provided to management for each driver regarding any missing or incomplete documents.
Driver Log Audits - This service provides carriers with complete log reviews/audits to isolate violations and log falsifications in order to comply with FMSCR Part 395. The drivers’ logs will be compared to the appropriate supporting documentation and then a monthly report will be prepared for each driver detailing all violations, both critical and non-critical. SafeTrans professionals can also meet with a carrier’s drivers, either individually or as a group, to review proper procedures for completing the driver’s daily logs.
Maintenance and Inspection Audit Services - Daily driver Vehicle Inspection Reports are to be submitted for each commercial vehicle on a monthly basis. These records will be reviewed and a report issued providing the following information:
Substance Abuse Testing Services - A review of a company’s substance abuse testing policy will be done and recommendations made, if appropriate. SafeTrans staff will ensure that all testing required by DOT regulations is performed and the correct records are maintained. We can arrange for random test selection lists to be provided to the company. If needed, we can also implement a complete drug testing program with on-site testing services.
