Employee Assistance Program/'HELP' Resources

The employer is required to post a resource as a minimum to assist current employee in accessing treatment and rehabilitation for substance abuse problems.

For employers who to terminate employees that test positive for prohibited drugs an up-to-date resource list is available.

Employers that wish to retain employees with difficulties, an Employee Assistance Program is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An Employee Assistance Program should direct employees to appropriate care and communicate with the employer on compliance. An EAP should provide 'fit for duty' releases before an employee returns to work to LIMIT you liability.
