Jacqui Derrick is a Substance Abuse Program Administrator (SAPA). Ms. Derrick is the President of WorkRight, LLC providing comprehensive drug-free workplace services and technical support to companies of all sizes throughout the Southeast.
Ms. Derrick holds Associates Degrees in Nursing and Horticulture and entered the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse working in Neurology, Orthopedics and Surgery.
In 1992, working as a liaison between business and the medical profession in Occupational Health, the need for specialization in drug-free workplace initiatives became clear.
Ms. Derrick has been in the Workplace Drug Testing industry since1995 jumping into the fray soon after the original Drug Free Workplace Certification legislation was passed in 1993. As the Director of Drugs Don’t Work in Metro Atlanta, 350 employers were certified through her efforts. She also served as Co-Chair for the Drug Free Workplace Coalition of Georgia, a non-profit all volunteer organization addressing legislative issues including additional incentives for Georgia employers. Ms. Derrick has served as a member of the Georgia Tech Alcohol Reduction Coalition and the Georgia Safety Council.
Ms. Derrick is recognized as an expert in the field of Drug-Free Workplace implementation and administration. She is an accomplished trainer providing instruction for employers and continuing education for the insurance industry.
Jacqui Derrick describes herself as a “Southerner by Choice”, having been a Metro Atlanta resident since 1983. She has one daughter and is active in scuba diving, canoeing/kayaking, hiking and is an avid horse person.
