| Drug Free Works
provides Comprehensive Drug Free Workplace Services and
Technical Support to comply with Georgia's Drug Free
Workplace Certification Program. In July of 1993, legislation provided a 5% workers compensation insurance premium credit for companies certified by the Georgia State Board of Workers Compensation. Naturally, there are hoops to jump through: a comprehensive substance abuse policy, drug testing under certain conditions, employee education and supervisor training and finally either a 'Help Resource List' or an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). In 1997 the premium credit was increased to 7.5% plus the right to deny workers compensation as well as unemployment benefits on the basis of a positive drug or alcohol test was initiated. The State Board in conjunction with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce published a 36-page document titled 'Rules and Guidelines' which can be time consuming to review and confusing to employers. Whether your goal is certification, maintenance of a current program, expansion to numerous sites in or out of state or exploration of additional components, we can help. Drug Free Works offers professional technical support and thorough education to assist you in developing a program that works for you and your industry...all with your best interest in mind. |
